Hairy Woodpecker

Surprise! This looks like a Hairy Woodpecker working on a tree in David Lam Park. Never seen them here before!

Their look and colours are similar to Downy Woodpeckers, but (a) they’re a bit bigger, and (b) their beaks are much bigger compared to their heads.
