Distant snow geese

At the water’s edge a few hundred metres away, about eleventy zillion snow geese rested and chattered. We could seriously hear them all over the sanctuary. I would have thought they’d be in Mexico by now!

Here we see one of a few subgroups flying around, then back to the main group. Not sure what that’s about, but they may be scouting for the next resting spot?
