Golden-crowned sparrow

You don’t often see golden-crowns around downtown, and usually only during migration season. This is a juvenile, freshly arrived from its hatching grounds in far northern BC or the Yukon. It may stick around the Lower Mainland for the winter, or push on further south as far as California. Not sure how they decide…
