Jemelle

On the way to Han-sur-Lesse to visit their famous caves, as well as the nearby semi-wild nature preserve. However, we didn’t plan it quite right and missed the bus from Jemelle train station to Han-sur-Lesse. Waiting a couple hours for the next one would have meant skipping one of those two attractions. Fortunately the nice folks at the station called us an Uber driven by a guy actually named “Hubert” (in French the two sound alike).

Meantime I got to stretch my legs and snap some pics. The south of Belgium is a lot more mountainous than the north — in that it actually has mountains, old and worn down, sure, but they’re there, getting higher and higher the closer we get to the Swiss Alps.
