Louise Michel

Louise Michel (1830–1905) was a teacher and activist, and a prominent figure in the Paris Commune. I spied a number of posters commemorating the Commune around Montmartre, and learned that the anniversary of the “bloody week” (where the National Army moved in and killed tens of thousands of people) was coming up soon.
