Place de la Bourse

La Place de la Bourse is a multi-building complex between the city centre and the river dating to the 1730’s, originally housing the 18th century equivalent of the city’s Chamber of Commerce plus various other guilds and trade organisations. It had an equestrian statue of Louis XV, which was (of course) torn down during the Revolution. This fountain was installed soon after in its place.
