Cemetery

On the way to the National Museum, we stumbled on this cemetery: Hólavallagarður (which could translate to “hole field garden”?). It’s the second oldest in Reykjavik, opening in 1838; the oldest, used from settlement days til 1838, has been paved over and now only exist as a little plaque somewhere in the downtown core.

It’s a bit of a jumble, but I like it. 30 acres of green and quiet in the middle of the city.
