Google couldn’t tell me much about this statue except its name (which just means “woman with stole”), and its artist: Pieter d’Hont (1917–1997). It stands serenely across from the lovely De Krijtberg (St. Francis Xavier) Roman Catholic Church and some exquisite old Amsterdam houses.
