A Bald Eagle is flying over the water, against a background of hazy blue mountains and the opposite shore of Boundary Bay
A Bald Eagle is standing alone on a sandbank, surrounded by blue water. In the far background, on the opposite side of Boundary Bay, are some trees and hazy blue mountains
Mount Baker in the distance, over Boundary Bay. In the foreground is low tidal flats, plus a higher and rockier stretch of land
A yellowjacket wasp is on a wooden fence
A male Green-winged Teal is on the water, seen in profile
The edge of the outer marshes, where they meet the open sea. There is a band of very green reeds, and behind that dark brownish ones. Beyond that is a long rocky line heading into the water. Hazy blue mountains under a hazy blue sky
A Marsh Wren is hanging on to a cattail, pulling fluff from a nearby cattail with its beak. There are many more cattails around, and greenish-grey water in the background
A Canada Goose seen in profile, surrounded by lush greenery. It is about eye level, since it is standing on an (unseen) wooden fence. Background are hazy blue mountains
A Song Sparrow is sitting on a small branch, with a bunch of small green shoots. Background sky is solid blue
A Canada Goose is standing on a wooden fence, so its body is pretty much at eye level. Its body is facing me, but its head is looking around camera right. Background is one of the main Reifel ponds, with bushes, reeds, a but of blue water visible. Behind that, more trees and a mainly blue sky
A Coot is out on the water, a chunk of gunky seaweed falling out of its open bill.
Portrait of a female Mallard, looking serene with her soft brown eyes. Background is blurry green
