Belted Kingfisher

A Belted Kingfisher in the marina next to Burrard Bridge! Not the first time I’ve seen one there, though it’s been a while.

The lack of brown on the stomach says this is a male, but the browny specks in the “collar” say this guy is immature. But I saw him scarf down a little fishy he’d caught, so I’d say he’s doing all right
