Cathedral interior from the organ

We took the super long way around, through the Domquartier museum, which we had no idea existed before visiting the church!

I just now realised the church is resting on round Romanesque arches instead of the more advanced stone vaultings you’ll see in Gothic churches. But this is definitely a design choice! They had the technology to go either way, but picked the option that (a) allowed for more artwork on the ceiling, and (b) made the biggest break with the previous style.
