Eiffel Tower from Sacré-Cœur

In a way, Sacré-Cœur and the Eiffel Tower are polar opposites. Made around the same time, but one was a reaction against social progress, glorifying faith and looking only to the past; while the other celebrated technology and scientific progress, and symbolised a Paris boldly marching forward into the next century.
