House Martins

Hey why did nobody tell me there’d be swallows hanging around Versailles? They landed every now and then, so I was able to take pictures

These are apparently called Common House Martins. Amazing, they look and fly and chatter exactly like Tree Swallows, except they land on the ground, which I’ve never seen local swallows doing.
