Leo Belgicus

“The Lion of Belgium”, a fancy map of Belgium and the rest of the Low Countries (there wasn’t much separation back then) at the Plantin-Moretus Museum.

Not sure who all the people around are. VIPs of the Spanish Empire, probably. All that region was under Spanish rule until 1648.
