Savannah Sparrow

I keep remembering these guys with a softer brown than they really have. Then again, these guys range all over North America so there must be some regional variation. Or maybe it’s the light, I don’t know.

I do love their facial patterns, though. There are strong echoes of Song Sparrows, to which they’re fairly closely related.
