Marsh Wren

So we stumbled upon a group of birders with expensive-looking gear focused on this little birdie hopping around. They identified it as… Some species of wren I’d never heard of. Sedge Wren, maybe? But from these photos, Merlin says this is a Marsh Wren, the kind I’ve seen many times at Reifel (though _not_ near a little channel, so that’s weird)

Which maybe goes to show you can have expensive cameras and still don’t know what you’re shooting. Or maybe Merlin is wrong in this case.
