It’s been almost two years since I first joined the Vancouver Queer Birders in this very park! My, how time flies!
I don’t usually consider it a good birding spot since even the trails aren’t very long, but it’s a whole different story when you’re birding with dozens of people. More eyes means more birds, more voices means friendly chatting, so even if you don’t see any birds, you can talk about birds!. Sometimes I want to meditate and listen quietly, and sometimes I’m good being social.
Also I don’t think I would have spotted this Western Flycatcher on my own.

What with the birbs being so elusive in the woody parts of the trail, I turned my attention down.

Although sometimes, the usual suspects show up to play.

Finally, enjoy this running gosling
