Feelin’ hot hot hot

But seriously, it was really hot

Campbell Valley Regional Park

We’d only been once, way back in March ’22. It’s a big place, with many kilometres of trails but unfortunately there weren’t that many birds. Understandable, given the time of year and weather. There were lots of birds around but, overall, the covered trails were too dark for good photos, and the open trails too hot to enjoy for long.

So hey, lesson learned: we should go back when it’s cooler, and maybe there’s less foliage on the trees for birds to hide behind.

ƛ̓éxətəm (Tlahutum) Regional Park

Hey, a goldfinch! I almost always see one or two around the gardens, but getting a good photo is a pain. This time I got lucky, as it stayed still just long enough to snap one single photo!
