Long-billed Dowitcher

There seems to be a bright blue patch on this bird’s rump between the wings, but other shots indicate it’s just regular white speckled feathers. Is my camera making it look different? Or does it fluoresce a bit in some circumstances? Actually I think that may just be how those white feathers look in the shade.
