View from the top of the MAS
View from the top of Antwerp’s Museum Aan de Stroom (“Museum on the river”), looking west. We see the River Scheldt and the former Antwerp Pilotage Building (finished 1895). This was the home of specialised pilots who knew how to navigate either the river or the canals, which open-sea vessels would need to bring on board to make their way to the docks.
