Paris City Hall

It dates from the early 1500s under François I, expanded in the early 1600s under Henri IV and Louis XIII, then burned by the Paris Commune in 1871 along with all the archives it contained. The building was rebuilt with the same outer design, but larger, and the insides considerably modified.
